Crowne Plaza Sydney Darling Harbour
Form Brick supplied the brick inlay system used to build the brick façade for Crowne Plaza Sydney Darling Harbour. We worked closely with the precaster, Walker Panels, to deliver consistent brickwork across a 27-storey structure in Sydney’s CBD.
Project Information
Project Status: Completed
Project address: Sydney, Australia.
Brickwork and Materials
The façade uses Simental Silver brick facings supplied by Austral Bricks. These facings were cut and set into Form Brick’s inlay system before being cast into precast concrete panels.
This method reduces onsite labour, improves accuracy, and provides a reliable brick façade system suitable for high-rise construction.
Architectural Direction
Smart Design Studio designed the building with a focus on consistent patterning and clean lines. The brick façade system supports this intent by delivering uniform brick placement and a stable finish across the height of the building.
Outcome
Crowne Plaza Sydney Darling Harbour is a strong example of how a brick inlay system can support large-scale façade delivery. The project shows the value of coordinated work between the architect, builder, precaster, and supplier.
Form Brick is pleased to have contributed a practical and reliable system that helped the project meet its construction and design goals.
