As the brick inlay solution provider for this project, Form Brick selected a warm reddish-brown tone as the primary color from Krause Bricks, to complement the mood of the surrounding area.
Using Form Brick’s advanced brick inlay technology, the bricks were arranged to create a visually striking and structurally sound façade that harmonizes beautifully with the Fitzroy streetscape.
This development is part of the “Zero Carbon Developments” initiative in the City of Yarra. The building materials used reflect a strong commitment to sustainability:
- Light-colored roofing materials were used to minimize heat absorption and mitigate urban heat effects.
- Recycled materials were incorporated into insulation products and carpet underlays to reduce embodied emissions and conserve raw resources.
- No unsustainable rainforest timber products were used, including Oregon, Western Red Cedar, Meranti, Merbau, Teak, or Luan.
- Concrete mixes included recycled content to reduce material consumption and carbon emissions.
Form Brick is proud to have contributed to the completion of this project, reinforcing our commitment to sustainable innovation. As we continue to develop advanced brick solutions, we remain open to new ideas. Our team actively seeks ways to improve efficiency, minimize waste, and reduce environmental impact. We see ourselves as industry leaders, dedicated to building a greener future.
