Brick Inlay and Precast Integration
Form Brick provided red brick inlay for precast walls and façade panels. The bricks, ranging from apricot to crimson, matched the historic brickwork of Bowden. Precast production allowed consistent finishes and reduced on-site work, supporting efficient installation and long-term durability.

Retaining walls were treated to reflect strata and industrial history. Brick inlay referenced the sawtooth roofs of the area and merged with steel and concrete elements. The tilted north-western wall opened the station to light while maintaining structural strength.
Outcome
Brick inlay within precast panels delivered heritage expression with construction efficiency. Collaboration between COX Architecture, Laing O’rouke , Vision Precast, and Form Brick ensured Bowden Station connected commuters to the neighborhood while preserving its historic character.
